Exhuma: A Bloody Korea Horror Movie

Hello everyone! Because of our very tight schedule, we aren't able to update these past months! Now, I'm going to be honest, I don't actually know what to write. So, I will write a movie review about a recently released Horror Movie. While the released date depends on what country you live in, I will provide few facts & review of this movie!

1. Country released date:

  • Exhuma has just been released in few countries such as: Korea, Mongolia, Taiwan, and Indonesia.
  • But Exhuma will soon released in other countries such as the United States, Canada, Vietnam, Australia in the middle of March. According to Movie Insider, Exhuma will be released on 15th March 2024 in the United States.
2. Synopsis:

Exhuma starts with the introduction of a rich korean family living in Los Angeles. But their tranquil life quickly altered when a scary & mystical aura haunted their newborn baby. They soon made the decision to called two shamans to rest the unpeaceful 'creature'. The shamans don't mind as long as the family pay them chunks of money. Working together with a graveyard guard & an exorcist, they all searched a questionable grave. But they did not expect the scary things that would come out if they disturb it.

3. Review:

Few things you might need to consider:

  • Many scenes are very gory & pretty explicit (like puking blood, stabbing, etc)
  • Sudden jumpscares
  • Frightening & intense scene
  • Sadistic scenes
Personal liking on the movie:
  • Well Crafted Cinematic. Give real thrills to audience
  • Unique plot (contains plot twist also!)
  • Both director & actors are notable for many movies
  • The soundtrack used supports the thrilling scenes
4. Cast

    • Lee Do-hyun: Bong-gil
    • Kim Go-eun: Hwa-rim
    • Choi Min-sik: Kim Sang-deok
    • Yoo Haiijin: Young-geun
-Fun fact: The ghost wasn't actually cgi, it's performed by a really tall actor name Kim Byung-Oh

5. Age Restriction
After checking from multiple resources, this movie is allowed for teenagers 13+. But in my opinion, many scenes are very nauseating & traumatic for some audience. So, if you want to watch this & still want to sleep at night peacefully, maybe 15+ would be the right age.

6. Finally, is this movie worth watching?
I asked few friends of mine, and they all recommend this movie, but there are few consideration you should think about. If you get easily traumatized by violent and bloody things, I think you should skip this movie. Exhuma is very serious on the bloody scenes. But if you are searching for these specific stuff inside a horror movie, you should definitely give this movie a try!

Thank you everyone, and don't forget to watch it!
