2023 Movie Review: Nowhere

 Hi everyone!! Its been so long since my last post. And I hate to say it, but lately I wasn't feeling like writing a new post. But guess what? I just get my spirit again. Today, I'm going to review a Spanish Movie called "Nowhere." Yes, its a pretty new movie.

1. Synopsis

Pregnant Mia and her husband Nico, must leave Spain due to global crisis. They have to sneak inside a container, that has a label "Nowhere." But in the middle of the journey, Nico and Mia split in different container. As if it wasn't bad enough, the guards saw their container and shot everyone inside. Only Mia that is left inside. But it just the beginning of the tragedy, her container fall into the ocean. Now she is left alone in the ocean. But she isn't alone, her baby is coming out soon to see the world....

2. Review

Nowhere is a thriller movie, but probably more traumatizing then a normal horror story. If you're under thirteen, I wouldn't advice you to watch this movie. 

There isn't a lot of violence in this movie. Its just in the beginning of the story, the guards shot all of the people in the container and there's blood everywhere. There wasn't much violence, but there's a few bloody scene. One of it was when Mia giving birth. It really shows you the giving birth scene, which quite disturbing to some people. It wasn't the worst scene in my opinion. The scene that traumatized me the most is when she eat her own umbilical cord. She was so hungry, that she has to eat her own umbilical cord. Dont't even imagine doing it, guys.

How about the thrill? Well this deserves a raise! Stranded alone in the ocean is one of the scariest thing in my opinion. There's a scene that Mia container drowns in the ocean and she has to escape it. I think I realized I have thalassophobia after watching this movie, lol. Also the thrill that she has to survive with a little foods in the container. 

Overall, I rate this movie 9/10. But don't watch it if you hate bloody scene. This movie can be quite disturbing to some viewers.
